A host of English players have had a strong start to the season with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane and Harry Winks all scoring goals and others finding themselves in the starting XI.
Here’s a look at the top players this season and how they stack up against each other.
Bournemouth have scored seven goals from the bench in the league so far, while West Ham have had three clean sheets and Aston Villa have conceded just one.
Dylan Martinez has been a revelation for the Toffees, with his 10 goals and six assists already equalling his total from the whole of last season.
He is also the joint-top scorer for the season, with a total of 22 goals, while he has been on the scoresheet for a hat-trick of goals, the second-most in the top flight behind the record-breaking Sergio Aguero.
Gareth Bale has scored five goals and two assists so far this season, while Aaron Ramsey has found the net three times and has scored four goals in the competition.
Leicester City have scored six goals from midfield, with Riyad Mahrez also a goal away from tying the club’s record of scoring goals in a season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now scored six league goals in their first eight Premier League games and have also been on top of the table for the best record in the division.
Chelsea have been the best side in the Barclays Premier League so far with 13 goals from open play, while Manchester United have also managed to keep their clean sheets.
Wigan Athletic have scored five and conceded three goals in five games, while Norwich City have conceded two and are currently sixth.
The top scorer in the Championship so far is Aston Villa, who have scored 12 goals from start to finish, while Arsenal have managed to score six.
Stoke City have also netted six goals in two games, whilst Cardiff City have only managed to concede one and have managed one clean sheet in the League One table.
Hull City are top of their division with seven goals, and have scored a total five goals in all competitions so far.
Manchester United have scored four and conceded two in the first eight league games, and Swansea have conceded one and managed to be top of league scoring in the table.
Southampton are top with nine goals in nine games and Chelsea have conceded only one in the same time.
Arsenal have scored two and conceded one in their opening four games, with Tottenham are top on six and Everton are bottom with two.
Newcastle have scored three goals and conceded four in the opening three matches, while Everton have scored one and conceded just two in their other two.
