St. Louis city to buy potholes sealer to help fight flooding

St. Charles, Mo.

(AP) St. James-St. Charles has purchased pothole sealing tape to help with the flooding from heavy rain.

The city says it’s the first municipality in the country to purchase the sealer.

It will be used on the St. Joseph Bridge and the Missouri River.

The St. Paul city also purchased a potholer to help keep potholed streets clear.

St. James said it will purchase the tape for the city’s streets, bridges, sewers, sidewalks and parks.

St. Mary’s Mayor Gary McAlister says the city will use the tape to keep puddles from pouring into the river.

St Charles says it will use it to seal potholts.

The potholing will be temporary, but will be permanent.
